For the Outstanding Women of Laurier Gala, hosted at Tapestry Hall in Kitchener, the vision was clear: create a refined, modern installation that felt worthy of the women being celebrated.
The Design Approach
This wasn’t about “more balloons.”
It was about composition, balance, and restraint.
We designed a structured backdrop using clean white architectural panels, allowing the branding to remain the focal point. From there, we layered in an organic balloon installation that felt sculptural rather than decorative.
The palette was carefully curated:
Soft lavender and muted lilac tones
Deep, rich purples for contrast
Warm metallic gold for depth and sophistication
The result is a colour story that feels both feminine and powerful — without leaning overly thematic.
Creating a Photo Moment That Feels Elevated
Every event needs a photo opportunity — but not every photo moment feels considered.
For this gala, we approached the backdrop as an experience moment, not just a place to stand.
The asymmetrical balloon clusters were designed to:
Frame guests naturally without overwhelming them
Guide movement and flow through the space
Photograph beautifully from multiple angles
We incorporated clear balloons and metallic finishes to catch natural light from the large windows at Tapestry Hall — adding dimension without visual clutter.
